Wedding Photography | Mid – Michigan Wedding Photographer | Eric and Heather Bouchard – Ionia, MI

I had the special pleasure of photographing the marriage of Heather and Eric on June 17, 2017. They had their ceremony and wedding at the gorgeous Shadow Ridge golf course in Ionia, MI. Both the bride, and groom got ready for the big day at the clubhouse. Their ceremony out on the green patio surrounded by friends and family was absolute beauty. 

Just before the ceremony the clouds got very dark and heavy and thunder began to sound.  We thought we would be rained out! The ceremony started quickly and while the thunder rolled, the bride and groom said their vows and even planted a unity tree with the brides daughter. Just as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the sun began to show and it remained a gorgeous for the rest of the evening. Just beyond the doors to the patio is an easy entrance to the reception hall. It was so nice having everything in one spot.

Friends, family, and guest enjoyed drinks and snacks while the Bridal party made their way out onto the course for their formal photos. The grounds were amazing! The groundskeeper took us back to a rustic water tower that I knew we had to incorporate into their photos, then on the way back to the venue we found a cute bridge nestled in some trees. You could not have asked for a better backdrop! The reception began and we got straight to dinner. The catering was from a small mennonite family owed company and was seriously some of the BEST food I have had at a wedding! 

We finished the night out with a full dance floor. A special dance between the groom and his step daughter was one of the sweetest moments for the whole room! When things quieted down a bit we decided to do something fun, the mannequin challenge! It was so fun for everyone! Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Bouchard!!!
