Jackson Area Photographer | Senior Session

As a photographer, there are shoots you dream about, hope for, and can’t seem to get anyone on board. I have had a couple seniors in the past message me about a winter session but when the snow finally falls its all crickets when trying to reach out to them to schedule it. I know Michigan winters can be brutal and I’m a bit of a sissy when it comes to cold too. I just couldn’t seem to get this session out of my head. 

I reached out to Jayden, asking if she would be interested in fighting the cold for a gorgeous session I had in mind. I sent her a few screen shots of a floral crown, and another composite I was interested in doing and she agreed that the vision I had was gorgeous. I wanted a rich, deep moody feel with some outfits that were more hip and modern to start with and then end it with some elegant dresses. 

We chose my hometown of Parma for the session. There is a great perk to this place, its literally half a mile from my front door. The mill is also closed on weekends, so we get the place to ourselves. We shot over to finish the session at Minard Mills in Parma as well.
